The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the criminal and administrative legislation of leading foreign countries in the field of environmental protection, alongside a study of international experience in combating environmental offenses. Emphasizing the growing severity of environmental degradation, the author highlights the urgent need to develop conceptually new approaches to ensuring environmental safety at both the international and national levels. This necessity is driven by the increasingly irreversible consequences of environmental damage caused by climate change.
