Abstract

The article analyzes the goals and objectives of the civil process and mediation in Russia, determining the prospects for the development of mediation in light of modern legal policy. This policy, in the field of civil procedure, currently includes several key directions, each of which is intended to increase the efficiency of the process in one way or another. The article notes that the mediation procedure, as an independent element of legislative regulation, is included in procedural activities. However, its regulation in judicial activities is still incomplete and requires future adjustments. At the same time, mediation, while simplifying judicial processes, does not have a significant drawback associated with the digitalization of civil procedural forms, namely, it does not cause major technical complications or digital inequality among participants in the process.
