The article deals with the issues of protection of violated and challenged rights and legally protected interests of citizens in the field of labor and employment, as well as the problems of mediation in labor disputes. It is stated that in the field of labor legal relations should not affect the timeliness of the courts’ rendering of lawful and well-founded decisions in labor cases. The author
sees it advisable to increase the time limits for employees to apply to the labor court for labor disputes to the ordinary limitation period (except for cases of dismissal and transfer of an employee), to reduce the time limits for consideration of labor cases to 15 days (except for collective labor disputes), as well as the court’s refusal of certain cases in the termination of labor proceedings
