Abstract

The article considers the question of the correlation of the legal categories “means” and “mechanism” in relation to the purpose and objectives of civil proceedings. The incorrect use of terminology in this matter is noted both at the legislative and law enforcement levels. The achievement of the goal of civil proceedings, in the author’s opinion, is due to the choice of a legal remedy within the framework of a particular task using a specific legal mechanism determined by this task.
